Safe and Sound
Corporate event childcare created with sparkles, smiles and style
Since 2006 we have sprinkled event childcare with fun and laughter, with a fabulous team whose extensive knowledge and expertise make the day and play magical. Our professional team ensures each child is as much a part of the event as is required and our exceptional standards are the reason parents entrust their children to us.
The fabulous team at Safe and Sound is built on our stringent selection of people all of whom are committed and experienced childcare professionals who create days made of magical memories.
All of our toys, activities, games and crafts are created for each individual event. That means that this is all tailored to each individual child attending whatever their age and no one is too old or too young! We have a large selection of toys; from cars and garages, dollies and buggies to Lego and wooden castles and everything in between.
We have many lovely tepees and rugs which we can set up both outside and inside. We also love our cotton ball lights in the evening and have oodles of sparkly fairy lights too!
Creating bespoke crafts is one of our favourite activities. We have a fantastic Art Designer who will look at the ages of the children and create ‘kits’ for each child. All our crafts can be ‘clean’ if required, so that means no glitter, no felt pens and ‘supervised’ glue stick use if the circumstances demand this. These crafts can be themed to your event and the interests of each child.
Handmade, bespoke biscuit and cupcake decorating is always a firm favourite. Our lovely baker supplier has designed some wonderfully shaped biscuits for us including tepees, butterflies, planes, hearts, flowers and even wellington boots for a festival-themed event. The trick is to see how many actually dry before they are eaten!
All of their creations will come home in a pretty bag they decorate and can also tie in with the theme of the event. Bespoke fabric bags can also be ordered from our creative supplier, again themed to the day and printed individually with their names.
Our expertise is valuable in dealing with how to keep children safe, including dealing with issues such as food allergies, additional needs and the diverse requirements of the different age ranges of the children. Our childcare team are specifically trained and qualified to be in a position to manage behaviours with the correct strategy and approach to ensure children are engaged in events that are outside the normal home or childcare environment.

Providing childcare for your staff is becoming more commonplace, with many larger organisations having on-site facilities. However, it can be a different scenario when companies, as many do, hold meetings, seminars, conferences or team-building events away from the office or at weekends.
Employers can often find that parents have difficulties arranging childcare for the hours and days that these events run. This means that important events can be poorly attended or that employees are put under undue stress trying to arrange childcare in order to attend the important event.
When the Covid-19 pandemic removed the safety net of schooling and employee-paid childcare for working families, the damage was cataclysmic. Without a stable form of childcare as part of the business infrastructure, the world stopped for the vast majority of working parents around the world.
This has changed the working dynamics and now more than ever, companies are looking at offering childcare facilities in the workplace and, especially, for events. Many employees are unable to attend and are often facing that constant trade-off between whether they should attend a conference, stay at home to take care of their child or find the extra funds to finance the additional childcare required.
Meeting and event planners are now creating more inclusive spaces to drive up attendance rates, by adding childcare for delegates attending events to their conference checklists. Providing childcare not only solves the problem of attendance but also moves towards achieving gender equality and it shows a considerate side to the business/company that makes a lasting impression on employees with children. Both employer and employee appreciate the effort and in turn, everyone benefits from the full value of the event itself.
Effective team meetings are inclusive, productive and collaborative and will help to create strong bonds. A strong team dynamic is vital to business success and productivity.
Every event is different as is every group of children.
