Wedding of Sarah and Mark at Ashridge House
Sarah and Mark were married at the beautiful Ashridge House in Hertfordshire. They were joined by 100 guests as they took their vows followed by a wedding reception. A further 40 of their friends and family arrived for their evening reception.
Whilst they were in the planning stages of their wedding they visited Ashridge House Wedding Fair where they met Stephanie from Safe and Sound Event Childcare and were impressed with her professionalism. Having two very young children, aged 2 and 4 years old they, of course, wanted to include them in the whole day, and it was important that they were looked after, entertained and there was the least amount of stress not only for them but for the little ones too. Their high standards, in particular, the health and safety aspect were key when choosing their wedding childcare provider.
Stephanie offers a bespoke service that is tailored to her clients’ requirements and Sarah and Mark wanted to ensure their little ones were well looked after and kept entertained throughout every aspect of the wedding day, from helping them to get ready, the ceremonies, dinner and evening party, and whilst the grown-ups were dancing the night away their two little sleepyheads were safely tucked up in bed under the watchful eye of Stephanie and Charlotte.
What Sarah and Mark had to say…
They went above and beyond our expectations. Stephanie and Charlotte were fantastic, lovely to work with and very professional. The children warmed to them very early on and had such a fun day. They were so well looked after; we didn’t need to worry about them at all. Stephanie and Charlotte were always watching to make sure they were safe but only stepped in if necessary, so the children were very much part of our wedding day but without the parenting stress. Our two year old can be quite a handful and getting through the two ceremonies was always going to be a challenge but Stephanie managed to keep him quietly entertained.
When asked would you use Safe and Sound Event Childcare again, it was a definite ‘absolutely’

The Reproductive Sociology Research Group
The ReproSoc is based within the Department of Sociology at Cambridge University. Led by Professor Sarah Franklin it is a world-leading research group focussing on reproductive technologies.
Their three day conference was aimed at all specialists; academics, ethnographers and scientists in the field of reproductive sociology. They wanted to offer free childcare throughout the conference to enable as many people to come as possible.
They were looking for a childcare provider that could offer safe and secure childcare which would also be enjoyable and fun for all the children whatever their age.
Safe & Sound Event Childcare offered a range of activities, equipment, experience and standard of care as well as the enthusiasm for our idea, the aims and objectives of the conference. They were the ideal choice.
Safe and Sound were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond and the children had a fabulous time. The parents loved it and we had only positive feedback. I would definitely use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others either! Absolutely brilliant.

Wedding of Charlotte and Nick at Hedingham Castle
Charlotte and Nick were married at the beautiful Hedingham Castle in East Anglia, a fabulous three day event with a large number of the guests coming from overseas.
They had a pre-wedding event on Friday evening in the local village and Sunday brunch following the wedding. The wedding itself was a stunning formal affair, black tie and gowns for their 80 guests.
In the year running up to the wedding and whilst Charlotte was pregnant with Lucas, they’d started to think about childcare for the day and were thinking about whether to ask friends, a childcare company or possibly a childminder may be a suitable option. Charlotte attended an open day at the Castle and met Stephanie who instantly came across as warm and kind. She was extremely professional and very reassuring and Charlotte liked her, felt very comfortable and trusted her.
Stephanie offers a tailormade service for her clients, unique to them and their requirements. Charlotte and Nick required a nanny to stay with them at the Castle from the Friday lunchtime to the Sunday lunchtime to look after their 8 month old son Lucas over the three days including overnight on their wedding night. Ideally, they wanted Stephanie and Lucas to be around and part of the celebrations but only if Lucas was happy to be there and not overstimulated. They wanted his routine maintained and for him not to be handled and pushed from pillar to post by lots of guests. They also wanted all their family and friends to be able to relax and enjoy themselves on the day and not have the responsibility of babysitting at any point. The wedding was an adult only wedding and they made the decision it would be the one day that was about them and not Lucas. Of course, they wanted him to be involved but only when it suited him, Charlotte and Nick
What Charlotte and Nick had to say…
I can’t thank Stephanie and everyone at Safe and Sound enough for the wonderful service they provided throughout our wedding weekend. They took the worry of childcare and wellbeing away which enabled me to focus on the big day. The services provided from the outset was bespoke and personal to meet our needs. Stephanie fitted seamlessly into our family from the start and was a pleasure to have around. Lucas adored her and was very happy in her company. Stephanie took a lot of strain and stress off my shoulders and let me just get on with many other things that were going on. She went with my husband to visit Lucas’s grandmother at another location and they all thought she was wonderful too. I was so happy with the service that was provided. Stephanie was understanding and a wonderful child carer and we will be using her services again.
When asked would you use Safe and Sound Event Childcare again it was an ‘absolutely and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Grapeviners spread the word for Anglian Water
Grapeviners is a word of mouth marketing company owned and run by Jane Bellard. Working with a range of clients Jane and her team help ‘spread the word’ from new product launches to educating the public on important messages.
Jane was working with Anglian Water to educate parents who were in the ‘potty training’ stage with their little ones that they shouldn’t flush wipes, even the ones labelled ‘flushable’ With over 50 parents attending the seminar many needed childcare in order to attend, this is where Safe and Sound stepped in. Jane was looking for a mobile creche to look after 20 -30 children all under the age of 3. Stephanie and her team offered safe and secure childcare for the parents who wanted to attend the seminar with a creche next door.
Safe and sound were extremely professional and accommodating, they offered a mobile creche which was crucial for the success of our event.
Stephanie and her team were friendly and professional, we couldn’t fault them. The children’s happiness and wellbeing was always their focus. They were amenable and pragmatic about the venue and how we used it, guiding us with what was needed and how to make it a successful event.
I was so impressed with Safe and Sound, they took care of everything, made it really easy for us, provided impeccable service for the families at our event, and the parents were delighted with the quality of care, it meant they could relax safe in the knowledge that their children were safe and having fun.
I would highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in using them again.
