Wedding Childcare for Elsie at Swynford Manor
Stephanie was delighted to be asked to help with childcare at a wedding in July, one of their first weddings after lockdown. She was booked by Lucy, the bride’s sister to look after her little girl Elsie who was 6 months old.
Choosing the right childcare was important and Lucy was looking for a company with good reviews, came highly recommended and were completely flexible with her personal requirements. Safe & Sound offered their exclusive Mary Poppins service, one on one childcare with a dedicated and experienced professional which was perfect for what Lucy wanted.
Having Stephanie there for the day meant I didn’t have to worry and could give all my attention to my sister (the bride). Stephanie quicky understood the routine for feeds and sleeping. She was extremely discrete and any of the guests commented that they didn’t notice the Elsie coming in and out. She came armed with lots of toys which was totally unexpected but very welcome – I even went to buy one of the toys the week after the wedding because Elsie loved it so much.
What Lucy had to say
Right from the beginning Stephanie put our minds at ease and made our family wedding run smoothly. From the logistics and organising the day through to bath and bedtime Stephanie couldn’t have been more helpful. So many of our guests commented on how discrete Stephanie was and how our 6 month old daughter remained calm and didn’t get overwhelmed at any point. Stephanie came with lots of toys and activities for our daughter which meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was such a relief to know our daughter was happy with someone and that she could fit in the important parts of the day without any stress.
When asked would you use Safe and Sound Event Childcare Lucy said Definitely – 100%.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stephanie and will certainly be using her to help again.

They were looking for a childcare provider that could offer safe and secure childcare which would also be enjoyable and fun for all the children whatever their age.
Safe & Sound Event Childcare offered a range of activities, equipment, experience and standard of care as well as the enthusiasm for our idea, the aims and objectives of the conference. They were the ideal choice.
Safe and Sound were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond and the children had a fabulous time. The parents loved it and we had only positive feedback. I would definitely use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others either! Absolutely brilliant.

Wedding of Sarah and Mark at Ashridge House
Sarah and Mark were married at the beautiful Ashridge House in Hertfordshire. They were joined by 100 guests as they took their vows followed by a wedding reception. A further 40 of their friends and family arrived for their evening reception.
Stephanie offers a bespoke service that is tailored to her clients’ requirements and Sarah and Mark wanted to ensure their little ones were well looked after and kept entertained throughout every aspect of the wedding day, from helping them to get ready, the ceremonies, dinner and evening party, and whilst the grown-ups were dancing the night away their two little sleepyheads were safely tucked up in bed under the watchful eye of Stephanie and Charlotte.
What Sarah and Mark had to say…
They went above and beyond our expectations. Stephanie and Charlotte were fantastic, lovely to work with and very professional. The children warmed to them very early on and had such a fun day. They were so well looked after; we didn’t need to worry about them at all. Stephanie and Charlotte were always watching to make sure they were safe but only stepped in if necessary, so the children were very much part of our wedding day but without the parenting stress. Our two year old can be quite a handful and getting through the two ceremonies was always going to be a challenge but Stephanie managed to keep him quietly entertained.
When asked would you use Safe and Sound Event Childcare again, it was a definite ‘absolutely’

Wedding of Charlotte and Nick at Hedingham Castle
Charlotte and Nick were married at the beautiful Hedingham Castle in East Anglia, a fabulous three-day event with a large number of the guests coming from overseas.
In the year running up to the wedding and whilst Charlotte was pregnant with Lucas, they’d started to think about childcare for the day and were thinking about whether to ask friends, a childcare company or possibly a childminder may be a suitable option. Charlotte attended an open day at the Castle and met Stephanie who instantly came across as warm and kind. She was extremely professional and very reassuring and Charlotte liked her, felt very comfortable and trusted her.
Stephanie offers a tailormade service for her clients, unique to them and their requirements. Charlotte and Nick required a nanny to stay with them at the Castle from the Friday lunchtime to the Sunday lunchtime to look after their 8 month old son Lucas over the three days including overnight on their wedding night. Ideally, they wanted Stephanie and Lucas to be around and part of the celebrations but only if Lucas was happy to be there and not overstimulated. They wanted his routine maintained and for him not to be handled and pushed from pillar to post by lots of guests. They also wanted all their family and friends to be able to relax and enjoy themselves on the day and not have the responsibility of babysitting at any point. The wedding was an adult only wedding and they made the decision it would be the one day that was about them and not Lucas. Of course, they wanted him to be involved but only when it suited him, Charlotte and Nick
What Charlotte and Nick had to say…
I can’t thank Stephanie and everyone at Safe and Sound enough for the wonderful service they provided throughout our wedding weekend. They took the worry of childcare and wellbeing away which enabled me to focus on the big day. The services provided from the outset was bespoke and personal to meet our needs. Stephanie fitted seamlessly into our family from the start and was a pleasure to have around. Lucas adored her and was very happy in her company. Stephanie took a lot of strain and stress off my shoulders and let me just get on with many other things that were going on. She went with my husband to visit Lucas’s grandmother at another location and they all thought she was wonderful too. I was so happy with the service that was provided. Stephanie was understanding and a wonderful child carer and we will be using her services again.
When asked would you use Safe and Sound Event Childcare again it was an ‘absolutely and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Safe and sound were extremely professional and accommodating, they offered a mobile creche which was crucial for the success of our event.
Stephanie and her team were friendly and professional, we couldn’t fault them. The children’s happiness and wellbeing was always their focus. They were amenable and pragmatic about the venue and how we used it, guiding us with what was needed and how to make it a successful event.
I was so impressed with Safe and Sound, they took care of everything, made it really easy for us, provided impeccable service for the families at our event, and the parents were delighted with the quality of care, it meant they could relax safe in the knowledge that their children were safe and having fun.
I would highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in using them again.

Wedding of Fran and Gary at Down Hall
Fran and Gary were married at the stunning Down Hall in Hertfordshire. The ceremony was held in the Oxford Room, beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and their vows were taken under a rose tree arch surrounded by 125 of their family and friends.
Their wedding was always going to be very family orientated, full of love, fun, and laughter. It was important that their guests were constantly entertained throughout the day so they could enjoy the wedding as much as Fran and Gary. To make sure this happened they enlisted the help of Dominique from Stylish Events and Stephanie from Safe and Sound – a preferred partner at Down Hall.
The wedding breakfast was held in the Bridgeman Suite and the guests were entertained throughout by the fabulous JoJo Desmond and five-piece jazz band.
The children had their own space outdoors filled with amazing toys, tents and Little Peoples Bar, popcorn, crisps, and personalised swag bags filled with canapés. The pièce de resistance was an inflatable helter-skelter which proved to be a hit with not just the younger guests!
Meanwhile indoors, the Oxford Room was miraculously transformed into a children’s indoor crèche and the children could come and go from the wedding breakfast as often as they wanted to.
A further 100 guests arrived for the evening reception and enjoyed our fabulous BBQ, dessert station and vintage caravan photobooth.
The evening was finished off with fireworks and sparklers, the perfect end to a perfect day.
What Fran and Gary had to say…
When we were planning our dream wedding we wanted the children to enjoy the wedding as much as the adults, ensuring they were entertained from start to finish. Our childcare provider needed to be professional, caring and above all keep the children entertained whatever their ages.
We were a little nervous having a childcare service and wanted to make sure the children were part of our special day and not taken to one side. As soon as we met Steph we were instantly at ease, and she knew exactly what we wanted to achieve. She had lots of wonderful suggestions and ideas including the helter-skelter.
Having been involved with the planning with Steph from the start we knew it would be amazing but what we weren’t prepared for was just how amazing…
From start to finish they were ultimate professionals. Parents were given consent forms before the day so Steph had all the information she needed for each child to ensure they were safe, cared for and ultimately everyone had a wonderful time.
The number of toys and games they brought with them to entertain the children was unbelievable. The children were constantly entertained and you could see they all loved being with the attentive Safe and Sound Team.
We knew they had done a fabulous job when so many parents commented on how wonderful Safe and Sound were and how much their children enjoyed the day.
